All my poems are copyright and must not be used without my permission.

Poetry has been a way for me to express my inner most feelings and thoughts. It all started in a Cavalier dog group when one of the dogs had a birthday and I decided I would put a rhyme together to say happy birthday. Well from there on I started writing poems when Cavaliers crossed the rainbow bridge and since then I have written many many poems and I will put just a few of my favorites on to give you an idea of what they are like. I also write Christian poems as I am a Salvation Army Officer and love to express my faith in this way.

The Vision

I saw a ship with beautiful sails on a foggy
winters morn; it seemed so peaceful
as it passed by no sound came from it at all.

I stood and watched the beauty as it passed me by the shore, and when I looked around to see who was on it, there it was no more.

I stood and wondered why this vision had come my way,
and then God reminded me we must all pass away some day.

And even though the beauty goes from our sight,
the image remains in our hearts and it remains so bright.

So take some comfort just now and know for sure that our
Dogs and loved ones are safe with God in his land forever more.

A. Adorable, adventurous, always loving
M. Magical, mischievous, always bubbling
Y. You my little one is special to me

Everyday when we speak, my hearts swells with love, I give thanks for you to God above.
As you grow and mature I look on with pride, and be grateful that my influence has weathered the ride.
I often cry when we say goodnight, cause I miss
having your lovely face in my sight.

I know that youve grown and your married now, but that doesnt stop the bond thats so tight.
Its true that our lives will change, and we will one day be far apart. But just remember my baby your
forever in my heart.

I am so proud of you and all youve been through, just remember there is an Angel called Jean looking
over you.

In a few years time when you read this again, youll remember that our love is special and it will never end.
Always in my thoughts.

A CAVALIER AT CHRISTMAS

A Cavalier at Christmas, such a wonderful sight to see,
A cavalier that gives lots of love to you and to me.
For on the day we celebrate a birth so wonderful and true
We have our sweet little cavaliers to cuddle up to.

Their softness and their beauty are as wonderful as can be
And its easy to understand that love we feel when a cavalier sits on your knee.

There is nothing quite as special as their soft black nose and big round eyes that glow, and its wonderful to watch their tail as the feathers in them flow.

Their gracefulness and look is something to behold,
for these cute little dogs are always very bold.

And in the climate where there is snow these cavaliers with a full coat will gladly go.
But in the place where the sun is out and days are filled with heat,
There is nothing they like better than on the beach, a seat.

And when its time to unwrap the gifts and hear the laughter and fun, in the middle of it all will be a cavalier on the run. They will crab with joy the paper and throw it all
around, and rip it all to shreds so no more can be found.

Once the food is ready they sit quietly by your feet, hoping oh just hoping that maybe they can taste the pudding that smells so very sweet.

They look at you with eyes so large and round and you find your self completely spellbound. Before you know it they are enjoying a treat, and the look on their face you can never beat.

One cant help but giggle at the thought of Christmas day, and just knowing that your cavalier will be beside you enjoying this very special day.

Scarlett

This is as far as I can remember the very first memorial poem I wrote. It was for my dear friend Wendy and her "Old Man Kent".

Such a gentle little cavalier who is sadly missed but dearly loved and remembered by his family.

M Memories of you will always be so bright

Y You my little one who has today lost the fight

B Brave little man who stayed as long as he could

E Enjoying the love of the neighborhood

L Laughter and games always surrounded him

O Oh how much joy to our life you did bring

V Viscount, yes royal, is our Lord Kent, it has such a nice ring

E Everyone knew how you loved to pose

D Dear little fellow with a cute button nose

K Keen you were to please everyone, especially your sweet mum

E Everyday you would sit on her chair

N Never anyone else would dare

T The other's would watch and know you were king

T They would pass by with sniff and a wag

H Hey Lord Kent come and play tag

E Eventually though it seemed you had to go

C Cause God needed a special boy to help him

A always willing to show others the way

V Violins play as Kent crosses the bridge

A Angels hover as he passes the ridge

L Looking back he will see his mum cry

I Instantly knowing that he had died

E Endings are sad but the future is bright

R Rainbows will always be within Kent's sight

"Goodbye my family I will see you one day and I will pose once again as we all run and play. Thank you for loving me and caring so much, I always loved that you made such a fuss. The bridge is now ready for me to cross the rainbow is glowing and I am ready to go. I hear God calling me so my time has now passed, I am ready to sit with him in the cool summer grass"
