There was a big disturbance at Rainbow Bridge today, word had arrived that Duncan was on his way.
The angels stirred their wings so bright, they wanted to go meet him and guide him to the light.
The chorus of singers began to lift the place in heavenly rhythm, for they knew that Duncan was one of a kind.
His spirit was lifting from earth to heaven above, and he knew that there were many on earth that would miss his sweet
gentle love.
So as we think of Duncan at rest with God just now, we acknowledge his life and we give him a special farewell bow.
We offer to Marilyn our wishes and hugs, and may she know that Duncan is watching down on her from his new home up above.
DUNCAN....your memory lives on.
THE RACE:
The race is on and of they go, they start of rather slow.
As they round the curve they begin to jog, but their legs are heavy and look like logs .
Oh what's this a new idea, they whipped out a stick, gee they've got the gear .
Now their able to go a bit faster you see, I wonder who will win, who will it be .
Now the race continues and they eyed each other off as they waddle side by side Boy oh boy aren't they r in for the ride.
Now the dogs are trying to work out which way, cause by their sides they have to so sweetly stay.
Now Wendy's little man wants to stop and play. She yells at him, hey Louie we haven't got all day, if you stop now Shirley
will put her dog on display.
So they started again and went pretty quick, the dogs were cute and running and doing lots of tricks.
Shirley looked over and spotted Wendy in front, oh no now she was on for the hunt.
She hitched her knickers up around her waist, she didn't want to lose them in her haste.
Full steam ahead did Shirley go, there was nothing stopping her you know.
But as the end come into site, Wendy said skitch her Louie and on her leg he did bite .
Shirley let out a yell and a scrowl, hey that's not being fair you old cow.
By this time Wendy was laughing so hard she did cry, especially when she had to look Shirley in the eye.
They crossed the line side by side, even their knickers didn't slide .
The Cavs were happy to be there at last, even though it was to them quite a blast. They shared the ribbon and walked around
with it on display, didn't matter who one, two friends had fun that day.
Our animals, regardless of breed or type, provide companionship, acceptance, emotional support, and unconditional love during
the time they share with you. If you understand and accept this bond between humans and animals, you've already taken the
first step toward coping with pet loss: knowing that it is okay to grieve when your pet dies.
You see our Pets are not "just a dog" or "just a cat". The animal is a family member. With the death
of that pet, we experiences a significant loss.
Memories are one of the best legacies after the death of a pet. It always good to talk about and embrace these memories.
Our pets entertained, comforted, frustrated but always loved us. Remember those times. If your memories bring laughter, smile.
If they bring sadness, cry. Remember, though, memories made in love can never be taken away.
It is good to pay a tribute to a pet that was and always will be loved.
Today we are honoring and remembering those cavaliers on OZ Cavalier who have crossed the rainbow bridge. For some of
you it may also be another breed or a cat or maybe even a rabbit, I dont know but you do.
Today we remember them and thank them for being our pets and as move into a new year that will be at times hard when we
for instance reach a birthday for them, we have to deal all over again with the grief of not having them around. So this Remembrance
Day is simply to say I love you and I miss you, and I hope that it will help you personally as a new year begins without our
pets.
I hope this poem says what is in your heart today:..
The Sun has set on their Lives and we remember them today.
Even though the sun has set on their lives as we reach the end of the year
We really want to take a moment to remember our cavaliers & pets so dear
We want to be able to smile as we think about their lives that are no more
And even though they are no longer with us on this earth their spirit is here for sure
Its time to think about the love so deep and intense
We will ponder about our loss and how sometimes it just doesnt make any sense
We wanted them to be with us forever more
And saying good bye to them hurt us all thats for sure
But as the year comes to an end and another year rolls round
I know we will draw all we can from the memories we have found
For as we in this year experience so many things without our furry friends
Such as birthdays and milestones that we thought would never for them end
I know through the memories we will gain our strength and be able to get through
For our cavaliers are up in heaven and they miss us very much too
So with this final thought as the sun sets on the year just gone and a new one starts
Remember our lost cavaliers are forever in our hearts.
